Watch as Joe heads to Whisky Run Golf Club in Port Colborne for this week’s Must See Monday! If you are looking to play some golf, frisbee golf or foot golf this is the place to be! Luckily Joe has Luke Nieuwland, Golf Shop Manager join him to show him the ropes.
Whisky Run- So Many Things To Offer
Whisky Run, a picturesque golf course located in Port Colborne, offers 3 courses to choose from, consisting of 27 holes. On top of just traditional golfing, Whisky Run also has foot golf (played with a soccer ball) and disc golf (played with frisbees). Its was voted “Niagara’s friendliest golf course” by Niagara This Week. Whisky Run has several membership options as well as specialty nights. The club house is appointed with a pro shop and licensed restaurant. With a special events coordinator, Whisky Run is perfect for any group, small or large. Is That Tiger Woods?
Nope. It’s Joe demonstrating his mad golf skills. Joe knocks a drive off the “The Tanker” on the Serpent course. Much to Luke’s surprise, it was a pretty decent poke. A few chips out of the sand trap, leads Joe to the final destination on the green. Finishing just a ‘few’ over par, Joe tries his hand at disc golf. A fun game for players of all ages. The object, much like golf, is to throw a frisbee in as least amount of shots, into a metal cage. Lastly, Joe gives the soccer ball a good kick in foot golf. Again, played much the same as golf. Perhaps his handicap may be a bit lower when he can use his feet.
All That Golf, Now I’m Starving
27 holes of golf can make anyone hungry. Joe gets a bite to eat at the clubs restaurant. With bright open views of the golf course, Joe opts to keep it healthy. Who needs all those empty
calories, when you just burned so many off, right? A grilled veggie wrap and salad, look and taste delicious and are a refreshing light choice after a long day.
